Hello,

I'm Princess Chezzy

focus, smart, motivated and oh cute!

I never grow old but slowly gain maturity. An independent figure who is used to doing many things alone but never feels lonely. Always learning many things -anywhere and anytime- never feeling it's enough. Always trying to help, and also asking help. Trying hard to be a good daughter, sister, student, employee, friend, but never be perfect. Have many hobbies, too many to list here!

A woman who dreams of stepping every inch of the earth, dreaming to befriend all beings on earth, dreaming of being useful to the world in all areas. But only dreams, too high to reach. Therefore always try to sufficiently live the reality and make the dreams as a reference to keep going.

Ketika

Ketika aku harus pergi....

Langkahku kaku,
tulangku beku.
Terpaku dalam sebuah lagu,
ragu.

Pekat dan kelabu,
semua mengoyak batinku.

Ingin kuubah kosong menjadi isi,
tapi wadah berlubang terlalu besar.
Ingin aku terus bernyanyi,
namun hati tak boleh ingkar.

Ketika aku harus melangkah....

Semua terasa pilu sudah.
Haruskah aku mengalah?
Tapi aku tak ingin menyerah!
Ini awal, sayang
bukan akhir dari segalanya.

Biar kita menderita,
sejenak saja.
Lalu bahagia untuk selamanya.

Ketika kamu tak rela jua....

Menangislah, sayang!
Menangislah dalam lambaian.
Ucapkan selamat jalan,
diguyur hujan.

Semua memang terlalu cepat,
dan terasa sangat berat.

Pejamkan matamu,
dan bermimpilah!
Aku akan hadir tanpa satupun pengganggu.

Ketika kamu mulai menerima....

Bukalah matamu,
sambut harimu dan berbahagialah.
Seperti sedia kala.

Aku akan segera hadir disisimu,
pasti!

Semua akan terasa singkat,
seperti sekuntum ilalang.
Aku jauh untuk dekat,
aku pergi untuk pulang.

Ketika aku kembali nanti....

Sediakanlah tempat untuk aku bersinggah,
untuk melepas penat.
Untuk aku melepas rindu yang tak terhingga,
sediakan aku pelukan yang tak terhingga pula.

Semua akan terasa singkat.
Percayalah!
Pasti!

Some About Pluralism

These days I heard so many discrimination around me; about religions, lifestyles, social levels, cultures, and races as well, even ages. A little girl has cried on me, why her friends in the class do not want to be friends with her. And I saw a video on Facebook, there were people only want to help a little girl who wears a nice dress but they did not help a poor girl with a shabby shirt, a guy kicked her out instead. And another video I saw on YouTube, most people refused to help a girl wears a black long veil. Some of them clearly said, “She is a terrorist!” Hey yeah! That’s out of humanity. And many more things I heard about this, just because we have different skin, or different eyes and hair. I just feel how pity!

Friends, you should know how wonderful the difference is. And that difference can be enjoyed. No one black if all black, no one rich if all people are rich. Like a stove need a pot and water to boil an egg, we all need each other and we all are worth to live. And now, let’s learn some about Pluralism together.

Quoting from Diana Eck, Director of The Pluralism Project, in Harvard University, USA; pluralism is a tenet to respect human diversity. Not only to respect the difference but also to maintain that diversity.

The Benefits of Pluralism

According to the book World of Sociology, J.M. Palmisano, a society that supports pluralism have some of the following benefits:
  1. No Negative Thinking People who respect and accept differences will not be prejudiced against the diversity.
  2. Reduced Conflict Even though often dissent, pluralist society will not impose their will.
  3. New Ideas This diversity will only give birth to new ideas in solving the problem.
  4. No Discrimination Usually, people who understand pluralism as much as possible will avoid things that can hurt others.
  5. Even Stronger Pluralist tends to be calmer. But they have high solidarity and care for each other.

Some Simple Things That We Can Do

  1. Don’t Insult It's good we reduce sensitive jokes. Who knows during this time there are people around us who are offended.
  2. Listen First When someone gives opinions or ideas that intersect with our culture, listen first. Who knows is better.
  3. Don’t be Too Much Proud Having a sense of pride in your tribe or religion is a natural thing. As long as it is not to weaken the tribe or religion of others. Excessive arrogance can trigger conflict.
  4. Better Knowing There is no harm in us recognizing about other tribes or religions. This knowledge actually makes us wiser in appreciating others and human diversity.

What They Say About Pluralism

Abdurrahman Wahid/Gusdur,  President of Indonesia (1999-2001) - Indonesia
“In society, there are self-organizing and interconnected social groups and side by side, but each group has a distinct existence. The concept is more related to the pattern of life of nation and state in general.” -quoted fromgusdurfiles-

Jacob Barc, Hotel Manager – Poland“Pluralism is the ability to recognize that there is unity of humanity’s diversity. We come in different colours, have different cultures, religions and attitudes but we come from the same God, we come from the same earth. People should realize that what makes us different makes us strong, wise and beautiful.”

Steve Gerard, NGO Director - USA “Pluralism means respect and diversity. Respect in the sense that other people’s lifestyles and belief systems are accepted and incorporated into society without either discrimination against then minority nor favouritism for the majority. It also means that people are free to make decisions to choose their own belief and lifestyles without negative consequences from others, including those in their own family and ethnic group.”

And in my own opinion pluralism is a way to enjoy the world. Like I enjoy a salad consisting of different types of fruits and vegetables, such as when I go to a park and enjoy the various flowers and animals.

How about you? Do you have any opinion about this?

The Heritage of Indonesia: Batik

The export value of batik and batik products in the first semester of 2017 reached up to USD39.4 million with the main market target to Japan, United States (US) and Europe. This achievement indicates that the national batik industry has a comparative and competitive in the international market. (okzone.com)

Batik has been recognized by UNESCO as an indigenous cultural heritage of Indonesia. No wonder if now batik is worldwide and used by important people like Nelson Mandela. The famous Hollywood celebrity was wearing batik Indonesia that has begun to be worn by world designers while demonstrating the play fashion. Indonesia is great!

There are more than 50 variety of Indonesian batik originating from various regions. Among the most common in the market are Yogyakarta, Solo, Magetan, Pekalongan and Cirebon. Each batik has its own uniqueness and has a meaning behind every pattern.

Based on how they created Batik, it is divided into 4 variants:
  1. Batik Tulis (Handmade Batik) : all processes are done manually, one by one, with canting, wax, cloth, and dye. To make this Batik will have a long process that will probably go through it for weeks. This batik is what is said as Original Batik and usually sold with a fantastic price and also have a certificate.
  2. Batik Cap (Stamp Batik) : used a stamp that has patterned batik. The stamp is dipped in hot wax, then pressed or stamped on the fabric.
  3. Batik Celup Ikat (Tie & Dye) : as the name, this batik is made by tying the fabric which is then dyed into the dye.
  4. Batik Cetak (Printing Batik) : in the process of this batik, the pattern has been printed on the screen printing tool, so that the battering and coloring can be done directly.

What They Say About Batik

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
“Batik Indonesia or 'technique, symbolism, and culture around the process of hand coloring on cotton or silk cloth has penetrated the life of the Indonesian people from birth to death'.” (www.bbc.com)

Jimmy Hendrick Aafar, Owner of Port Numbay (Papua’s Batik) - Papua, Indonesia
"Every design has a message, for example, the seagull and fish pattern symbolizes a symbiotic relationship." (www.vice.com)

Erik Verhoeven, Air Traffic Controller - Netherland
"I love batik because it reminds me of the most beautiful country in the world. The scents of fruits in this tropical place are expressed in the colourfull handcrafted pieces of batik."

Santiago Giorgio, Lecturer - Brazil
"The first time I went to Indonesia, I was surprised to see many people wearing colorful clothes and patterned 'crazy'. I see men wearing flower-printed and blue-purple clothes. In another country, it might be a strange sight. But Indonesian men who wear these clothes actually look prestige, mature and wise"

Anonymous
"In my country, very few people come out with our traditional clothes. It can even be said to be non-existent. Unless there are parties of people, weddings, or similar events. Our traditional clothes is too impractical for everyday use. We should wear modern clothes. Not like batik you just used and paste. In addition, our traditional shirt colors are also plainer. Not like the style, tone, and expression of the rich color of batik. In my opinion, you can be grateful to have clothes that can be so beautiful but practical if worn."

Batik for me is art and craft in one masterpiece. A philosophy of patience and harmonization in the making. The pattern is full of meaning, history, culture, prayer, and hope.
